SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Feb. 3 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The opening of the voting period for the Carnival 2025 theme was announced by the City Council of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, facilitated through the Autonomous Organization for Festivals and Recreational Activities (OAFAR).
According to Festival Councilor, Javier Caraballero, “participating in the theme vote marks the initial stride for every esteemed carnival member.” He urges active involvement in the process, emphasizing that “each option holds the potential to ignite the creativity of our various groups and carnival enthusiasts in 2025.”
The public consultation will be conducted via the website carnavaldetenerife.com and will continue until 9:00 p.m. on Monday, February 12. To prevent duplicate votes, the computer system will employ a filter to ensure that only one vote per IP address is counted.
The four theme options for the upcoming Santa Cruz de Tenerife Carnival edition are: Ancient Greece, Secrets of Africa, Kingdom of Ice, and Technological Japan. The winning theme will be revealed on Sunday, February 18, at the Plaza de La Candelaria, coinciding with the climactic fireworks display of Carnival 2024.
