El Orche is unquestionably one of the most mythical and popular locations in the Santa Cruz de Tenerife Carnival. It’s a place to dance, socialize, and revel in those long, unforgettable nights that life bestows upon us. It’s the ultimate Tenerife festivity.
Similar to various spots in Santa Cruz such as Weyler Square, the city council has fenced off and set up portable toilets in the vicinity of El Orche, the renowned cafeteria that lends its name to this carnival hub.
In an interview with DIARIO DE AVISOS, Orlando, the owner, acknowledged that the key to this region of the Santa Cruz de Tenerife Carnival is having successfully inherited the spirit of Calle San José from years past: “The ambiance we have now mirrors what existed around 20 years ago on Calle San José. However, with the influx of young people, the older carnival attendees opted to relocate to this area.”
