SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Feb. 1 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Tenerife Cabildo’s Plenary Hall hosted the initial session of the year for the Insular Table of the Saharawi People. The table comprises representatives from all political factions with Cabildo representation and includes the Association for the Freedom of the Sahrawi People, La Concordia Association, and Canarian Association of Friendship with the Sahrawi People.
During the gathering, members deliberated various projects and endeavors, with a strong focus on the necessity to fortify the Holiday in Serenity project. This initiative, in which the Canary Islands have been involved for many years, entails the temporary hosting of Sahrawi children during the months of July and August.
The Minister of Social Action, Águeda Fumero, underscored the significance of “having platforms like this, where tangible actions are proposed through dialogue” and emphasized the Council’s proactive stance intending to enhance collaboration with entities.
