The Arona City Council has scheduled an extraordinary plenary session for next Tuesday, February 6, at 10 am, following the meeting of municipal spokespersons held yesterday. The session aims to discuss the administrative files required for the approval of the urban agreement between the Arona City Council and the El Mojón Partial Plan Compensation Board.
This move aims to ensure proper connectivity for both vehicles and pedestrians between the east and west areas of the sector, clearing the path for the reception of the urbanization works of the El Mojón Partial Plan.
The El Mojón Partial Plan covers over 900,000 square meters of land located between the entrance to the town of Los Cristianos and the South Highway (TF-1). This sought-after area, strategically positioned in the municipality of Arona, encompasses land designated for tourist, commercial, recreational, and residential use – including several planned hotels.
The process to enable construction on more than 70 private plots commenced a week ago, prompting the Department of Urban Planning to convene an extraordinary Information Commission session to deliberate and provide opinions on the urban planning agreement between the Arona City Council and the Compensation Board of the El Mojón Partial Plan, comprising the landowners. The next step is to present the urban planning agreement for approval at the upcoming extraordinary plenary session scheduled for next Tuesday.
