Secundino Delgado park in Santa Cruz de Tenerife shut down due to a fallen tree branch


The Municipal Council of Santa Cruz de Tenerife has taken action on Wednesday to close the Secundino Delgado park, situated in the Salamanca district, following the fall of a tree branch.

Staff from the Parks and Gardens Service will conduct a comprehensive inspection of all the trees to ensure the safety of the area, as stated by the local administration in a press release.

Mayor José Manuel Bermúdez of Santa Cruz emphasizes that the decision was made to safeguard the park users’ safety, and the park will reopen once all the trees are inspected and it is confirmed that there is no risk to the public.

The City Councilor for Public Services, Carlos Tarife, mentions that the Local Police is collaborating with the Parks and Gardens Service in this endeavor, and urges for calm while reaffirming the local administration’s commitment to ensuring the safety of the city’s trees.
