Prelude to the Northern Tenerife Competition: Children’s Murgas

The children’s festival of murgas from the North was held at the old Garachico football field as a prelude to the adult criticism contest. This contest has been ongoing since Monday night in Villa y Puerto, with the first phase paving the way for the upcoming second phase today.

Four children’s groups showcased the young generation’s passion for this genre at Sunday’s event. Carnival: the murgas. Reaffirming the commitment to nurture the new generations, the four participating groups were honored for their remarkable performances, with an understanding of the fact that these groups are not at the pinnacle of their season.

Tiralengüines, from Icod de los Vinos, was recognized for their imaginative presentation in this edition. Meanwhile, Raviscuditos from Tacoronte, received praise from the jury for their wit and humor, reflecting a notable improvement in this edition, as demonstrated in the Santa Cruz de Tenerife competition. Minivirgues, from La Orotava, was honored for their staging, and Ferrusquentitos, the hosts of the event, were acknowledged for their musicality.
