SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, January 29. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The renovation of the Valleseco sewage network has been initiated by the Cabildo and the City Council of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, with the project awarded to Construcciones Rodríguez Mesa SL for a total of 2,350,000 euros, with 50% of funding coming from both administrations.
Recently, the Minister of Municipal Cooperation, Sonia Hernández, paid a visit to the ongoing work on Juan Silvestre and José Batán streets.
Hernández emphasized during the visit, “One of the top priorities of the island government is the enhancement of sanitation across the island, as a crucial element for the proper management of the integrated water cycle.”
According to the counselor, “The goal of having sanitation networks is a vital step towards sustainable development from an environmental perspective,” as stated in the Cabildo’s release.
The project, which commenced at the end of last September, is expected to be completed over a period of 24 months and “is progressing as per schedule,” as mentioned.
The project involves a complete overhaul of the sanitation network, installation of a rainwater separation network, and replacement of the supply network on various streets including Reverend Onísimo Bethencourt, Juan Silvestre, José Batán, Manuel Lomo, Pedro Delgado, Antonio Saro, Enrique Lara, Rafael Soto, Escaleras Barranco, Peatonal Barranquillo, and Fernández Vega (section 1).
