SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, January 27. (EUROPA PRESS) –
Bambones emerged victorious on Friday night, securing the first prize for Interpretation in the Murgas contest of the Santa Cruz de Tenerife Carnival 2024.
In the same contest, Trapaseros claimed the second prize and Diablos Locos secured the third place, with Irónico being acknowledged by the jury with a second prize.
The City Council revealed that in the Presentation category, Diablos Locos was awarded the first prize by the jury, while Mamelucos and Marchilongas clinched the second and third prizes respectively. Trapaseros was named the runner-up for the best costume.
The grand final Murgas competition of the Santa Cruz Carnival, featuring the participation of a total of eight critical groups, drew in nearly 5,000 spectators at the Tenerife Fairgrounds.
Festivals Councilor Javier Caraballero, accompanied by Public Services Councilor Carlos Tarife, Citizen Security Councilor Gladis de León, Social Care Councilor Charín González, Culture Councilor Santiago Díaz, Housing Councilor Belén Mesa, and Treasury Councilor José Alberto Díaz Estébanez, presented the prizes to the winning groups.
