Tomorrow, on Saturday the 27th, at 8:00 p.m., the Musical Groups contest will take place at the Fairgrounds stage. This year, Siboney, Nobleza Canaria, Sabor Isleño, Salsabor, Cantares Luz de Luna, Los Yuppies, Chaxiraxi, Teiderife, and Caña Dulce will be participating.
The event will be hosted by presenters Sara Ramos and Pedro Machín. Those interested can attend by purchasing tickets for one euro at the venue’s ticket offices.
The jury for the Interpretation section includes Agustín Manuel Francisco Curbelo, the director of the La Laguna University Choir; Elisa Alberto Cedrés, a music director and professor at the School of Modern Music of the Canary Islands; Eiter Kiko González, an arranger, music producer, and orchestra director; Sandra Santana Peña, a multidisciplinary artist and vocalist of “Contrastes”; and Eduardo Peña González, a percussion graduate from the Professional Conservatory of Music of Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
For the Presentation chapter, the jury consists of Ana Seco Durán, a fashion designer and graduate in Fine Arts; Cristo Rodríguez Torres, a clothing, fashion, and leather technician; Cristina Alejandra Martín González, a Senior Custom Costume and Entertainment Technician; Olivia Spiteri Rodríguez, a stage costume designer and blogger of “Que come curves”; and Alba Cabrera Brito, a Fine Arts graduate.
The contest will be broadcasted live by Channel 4, Ahora TV, and Channel 10. Televisión Canaria will broadcast the show on a delayed basis, and the Acapulco Orchestra will entertain the audience while the jury deliberates.
