SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, January 25. (EUROPA PRESS) –
A 27-year-old individual sustained serious injuries following a fire that broke out in his residence in the San Lorenzo valley, located in the municipality of Arona (Tenerife), according to reports from the Emergency and Security Coordinating Center of 112 of the Canary Islands.
The incident took place at 9:50 p.m. on Wednesday, in a dwelling on the second floor of a building situated on Isla de La Palma street in the San Lorenzo Valley. Firefighters from Tenerife intervened to rescue the occupant of the property, while also extinguishing the flames originating in the living room and ventilating the area.
Subsequently, the affected individual received assistance from personnel from the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC) who confirmed severe poisoning due to smoke inhalation. As a result, he was transported by a sanitized ambulance from the SUC to the Hospital del Sur.
Civil Protection personnel and local police officers also played a role in resolving the incident and were responsible for preparing the necessary reports.
