
SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, January 26. (EUROPA PRESS) –
During the early hours of Friday, Maritime Rescue carried out the successful rescue of a canoe with 51 migrants on board in the waters near El Hierro island’s coast, as reported by the Emergency and Security Coordinating Center of 112 of the Canary Islands.
Following the interception by Maritime Rescue, the boat was taken to the La Restinga dock, where a health team consisting of personnel from the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC), Primary Care, and the Red Cross provided assistance to the migrants.
