The Tenerife commissioner who allegedly threatened his ex-girlfriend will testify in Gran Canaria

In addition to the commissioner, who has been provisionally suspended from employment and salary due to these events, with the withdrawal of the regulatory weapon, on the 30th the complainant in the case, the chief inspector of the Provincial Judicial Police Brigade, Francisco Moar, will also appear in court. and the injured party.

The Court of Violence against Women number 1 of Santa Cruz de Tenerife initiated preliminary proceedings following the complaint filed on December 6 by the chief inspector of the Provincial Brigade and colleague of the commissioner, who had seen a video that supposedly proves the threat. that the woman suffered.

In the video, which has been published by several media outlets and which was recorded by the victim, the gun is seen and phrases from the ex-girlfriend are heard when she said “please leave the gun. Please, Luis” or ” leave her and I’ll tell you the truth”, as well as to the commissioner, who asks her to tell him “the truth”. “You tell me the truth, what happened to him, tell me,” he is heard saying.

The events reported in the offices of the Family and Women’s Care Unit (UFAM) of Santa Cruz de Tenerife date back to the end of 2021 and allegedly occurred in the commissioner’s home.

The chief inspector who serves as head of the Provincial Judicial Police Brigade of the National Police of Santa Cruz de Tenerife was aware of the alleged mistreatment in the exercise of his duties and gave UFAM investigators a USB memory containing the aforementioned video and a still of the alleged victim of sexist violence.
