Tonight the second phase of the Adult Murgas contest of the Santa Cruz de Tenerife Carnival begins after a first with a good general level – with exceptions – in which Burlonas stood out together with Trapaseros. On this occasion, La Sonora, Marchilongas, Sofocadas, Mamelucos, Ni Pico Ni Corto, Triqui Traques and Diablos Locos will take to the stage, in order of performance.
At 8:30 p.m. the chords of the opening act Distracted started, second prize for interpretation in the children’s murgas contest, an award they won after 8 years away from the murguero Olympus. Tana Rodríguez’s team showed why they are worthy winners of that second prize and reminded the public that when there is good lyrics the rest are just flourishes.
