A paraglider is seriously injured after suffering an accident and falling in an area that is difficult to access in Adeje



A 67-year-old paraglider of Austrian origin has been seriously injured after suffering an accident in the Taucho area, in the municipality of Adeje (Tenerife), as reported by the 1-1-2 Emergency and Security Coordinating Center. Canary Islands.

The events occurred on the afternoon of this Monday and members of the Local Police and the Tenerife Fire Department went to the aforementioned place, who verified that it was in a place that was difficult to access, so from the Coordinating Center of 1- 1-2 the Emergency and Rescue Group (GES) helicopter was activated.

The GES helicopter then located the injured man, who was accompanied by the firefighters and, after immobilizing him, took him to the Tenerife North Airport, where the staff of the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC) verified that the affected person had trauma to his lower extremities. serious nature, for which he was transferred to the Nuestra Señora de Candelaria University Hospital.

Civil Guard agents also appeared in the area, collaborating with the intervening resources.
