The Local police Tacoronte will control the speed on the main roads of the municipality thanks to a mobile radar. The Tacorontera mayor, Sandra Izquierdo, and other members of her government group presented this new prevention and speed control campaign that the City Council will develop over the next month through a vehicle provided by the Provincial Traffic Headquarters.
As reported by the Tacorontero City Council in a press release, the initiative, promoted for the first time in 2019, is being launched again in different streets of the municipality, “with special attention in those areas with the greatest vehicle traffic.”
The main objective pursued by the initiative in question is «raise drivers’ awareness about the importance of respecting the limitations established in the current traffic code, given that speed in the urban environment is one of the greatest risk factors and direct cause of traffic accidents and accidents on the road,” highlights the City Council.
Control of school transportation
The Local Police of Tacoronte reports that from January 22 to 26, another special campaign will be activated, “this time aimed at controlling school transport vehicles in the municipality,” adds the note on the surveillance actions that are planned. take place in the near future in this municipality in the North of the Island.
