A man whose age is unknown died yesterday Saturday after being rescued by the helicopter of the Emergency and Rescue Group (GES) of the Government of the Canary Islands after falling into the sea from some rocks on the coast of Los Franceses, in the municipality of Garafía, in La Palma, as reported by the Emergency and Security Coordinating Center (Cecoes) 1-1-2.
The event occurred shortly before five in the afternoon, when the 1-1-2 operational room received an alert reporting the fall of a personnel into the sea, from some rocks, in the area mentioned above, due to so Cecoes immediately activated the emergency resources necessary to intervene in the area.
At the time of the rescue by the GES helicopter, the affected person was in cardiorespiratory arrest, so the rescuers began resuscitation maneuvers during the transfer to the General Hospital of La Palma, which was later taken over by the SUC health personnel until his admission to the hospital. the hospital emergency service, where he later died. The Civil Guard carried out investigations.
