The PSOE reproaches that the youtuber The Grefg went up to Teide without permission due to a decision by Rosa Dávila

The PSOE in the Cabildo of Tenerife has accused the president of the corporation, Rosa Dávila, that the YouTuber David Cánovas Martínez, alias The Grefg, with whom she took a photo, climbed Mount Teide without permission due to a political decision of his.

The socialist group has announced in a statement that it has asked President Rosa Dávila for explanations in an extraordinary plenary session because it considers it very serious to convey to public opinion that one can break the rules.

As reported by the PSOE in a statement, there is no file in the Tenerife Cabildo that determines the island’s interest in giving privileged access to the Pico del Teide to a YouTuber and opening the cable car on a day that was closed due to winds so that the director of the Natural Environment, Pedro Millán, went to meet them to authorize the climb to the peak.

That is why they conclude that “the climb to Teide without permission by this influencer has been directly based on the political decision of a president, Rosa Dávila, who took advantage of this visit to take a photograph with the YouTuber.”

The PSOE of Tenerife rejects that the president of the Cabildo opened the cable car on November 23 “only for this man when it was closed because the necessary safety conditions were not met.”

In the video about the excursion to Teide, David Cánovas Martínez calls the insular director of Environment of the Cabildo de Tenerife, Pedro Millán, a ‘boss’ for having opened the cable car while it was closed to bring him a permit in hand.

“It is unacceptable that the Cabildo of Tenerife allows and encourages a climb to Pico del Teide without permission, without the necessary clothing and supplies, especially after the experience when dozens of tourists found themselves unable to descend properly after the cable car broke down. in 2017,” says the PSOE.
