VALVERDE (EL HIERRO), Jan. 16 (EUROPA PRESS) –
A cayuco with 39 migrants on board arrived this Tuesday at the port of La Restinga, in the municipality of El Pinar, accompanied by the Guardamar Concepción Arenal, who went to meet it after being located about five miles south of the island, they report. Maritime Rescue sources.
The migrants, all men and of sub-Saharan origin, were treated at the dock by members of the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC) and the Red Cross, who confirmed that they were in good general health, so no transfers to health centers were ordered.
