What will the weather be like this Tuesday in the Canary Islands?

Precipitation, weak and occasional in the eastern islands and stormy in the western ones, and winds from the south and southwest of up to 100 kilometers per hour on the summits of the latterin addition to a slight haze in the first ones until noon in the first ones will predominate this Tuesday in Canary Islandsaccording to Aemet.

At sea there will be 3 to 5 south on the west and east coasts, locally 6 offshore in the east and west extremes and 2 to 4 in the rest, increasing from early morning to southwest 6 or 7 in the northwest and southwest 4 to 6, occasionally 7 offshore, in the east and southwest 3 to 5 in the rest, except variable 1 to 3 in the northeast.

Swell or strong swell in the west and east and swell in the rest, increasing to swell in the south. Western swell of 1 to 2 meters, increasing at dawn to between 2 and 3 m and finally to between 3 and 4 meters offshore in the northwest. Occasional showers occasionally intensifying with a storm.

Temperatures in slight to moderate decrease in the interior and west and with few changes in the rest of the areas. Light to moderate wind from the south turning southwest from midday. In the midlands and summits it will blow strongly from the southwest, turning west at the end, with probable very strong gusts during the morning and afternoon, mainly affecting the summits and northwest and east slopes.

Light to moderate wind from the south, which will turn to moderate from the southwest during the morning, with strong intervals in the west and north during daytime hours.

In the afternoon, it will tend towards cloudy intervals, with a low probability of weak precipitation in the west and interior and with a predominance of slightly cloudy skies with intervals of high clouds in the rest of the areas. Temperatures in slight to moderate decrease in the interior and west and with few changes in the rest. Moderate wind from the south turning to southwest during the morning. In the midlands and summits it will blow strongly from the southwest, turning west in the later hours, with probable very strong gusts, mainly affecting the summits, where 90-100 km/h could be reached, east slope and, during the first half of the day, at the northern slope of the metropolitan area.

Predominance of cloudy skies, with probable moderate and occasional rainfall during the first half of the day, without ruling out some locally strong showers, especially on the southwest slope, and some isolated storms. In the afternoon, it will tend to cloudy intervals, with a low probability of weak precipitation mainly in the west and interior. Minimum temperatures with few changes and maximum temperatures in a slight to moderate decrease. Moderate wind from the south turning to southwest during the morning. In the midlands and summits it will blow strongly from the southwest, turning west in the late hours, with probable very strong gusts, mainly affecting the summits and northern slope until the late afternoon.

Cloudy to overcast with moderate showers, which could be strong and accompanied by storms and, on the western slope, frequent. Temperatures in slight to moderate decrease. Moderate wind with strong intervals from the south turning southwest during the early morning and west at the end of the afternoon. In the midlands and summits it will blow strongly from the southwest, turning west at the end of the afternoon, with probable very strong gusts, mainly affecting the summits and east and northwest slopes, where 90-100 km/h could be locally reached.

The General Directorate of Emergencies of the Government of the Canary Islands has declared a wind alert in La Palma and Tenerife starting at 6:00 p.m. this Mondayand the pre-alert in the rest of the islands.

The prediction for the next few hours points to gusts of wind that will reach and exceed 90 kilometers/hour on the peaks and northern, eastern and northwest slopes of La Palma, as well as on the peaks, high areas and midlands of the north and southeast of Tenerife, where 100 kilometers/hour can be reached and exceeded locally.

Southwest gusts of 80 kilometers/hour are expected on summits and northern slopes of La Gomera and El Hierro, and southwest gusts of 70 kilometers/hour are expected on summits and northwest and eastern slopes of Gran Canaria.

The General Directorate of Emergencies recommends closing doors and windows, removing from balconies and roofs all objects that may fall onto the street, and checking cornices, balconies and facades in poor condition, from which rubble and debris may fall.

Going on excursions or camping and traveling by road are also discouraged, and if necessary, take extreme precautions and give priority to public transportation; and it is recommended to avoid walking through gardens or wooded areas, staying away from walls, old houses, scaffolding, signs, fences and light poles.
