The best moderate routes in Los Silos

Go to enjoy nature It is one of the best plans that can be made in Canary Islands. The Islands have the perfect conditions for outdoor activities practically all year round and Tenerife You can find trails of different difficulties that adapt to the physical conditions of the walkers.

In each municipality you will find routes that are sure to captivate you: from the most mountainous ones, to routes along the coast or those that run through a laurel forest. The options are many and very varied, although we want to focus on those that are for experienced walkers and where you can enjoy the beautiful landscapes of the north of Tenerife.

So, we show you some of the best moderate routes through the municipality of Los Silos.

He path of Black Caves It was used in ancient times to connect Los Silos and Santiago del Teide and, later, became royal road, uniting Los Silos with Erjos to be able to access Guía de Isora. Also in the municipality of The Silos You can find this route that runs almost entirely through forest track that connects the rural centers of Erjos and Las Portelas. During the path, which crosses Monte del Agua and Pasos, you can enjoy a large monteverde forest with laurel forest and fayal-heath. In addition, it is a perfect route to spot endemic birds of the Islands.

The route, of moderate difficulty, has some 11 kilometers long and a difference in altitude of 343 meters.

As you can see, Los Silos has several options for hiking trails and being in direct contact with nature.
