The Italian cruise company Costa Cruises has started the new round the world cruise that will take guests to discover 52 destinations, including Canary Islandsin 34 different countries for four monthswith an itinerary that will touch five continents and cross three oceans.
With 266 Spanish passengers on board, the 2024 edition set sail on January 6 from Trieste (Italy) and Barcelona (Spain) aboard the Costa Deliziosa and will end on May 11 in Marghera/Venice.
Costa Cruises was one of the first companies in the world to offer this trip, back in the 1970s, with the 2024 edition being one of the most successful in history with more than 2,000 guests on board the Costa Deliziosamostly from France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Switzerland and Austria.
During the planned 134 days of voyage, the Costa Deliziosa will go around the world, always sailing towards the west. Thus, the itinerary will depart from Italy to visit France, Spain, Morocco and the Canary Islands, It will cross the Atlantic to the Caribbean and then pass through the Panama Canal and explore Ecuador, Chile, Peru and Easter Island.
From there, It will cross the Pacific, touching Polynesia, to reach Australia; It will then head to Japan and South Korea, before heading west again, visiting Taiwan, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Singapore, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, India, Oman, Jordan and returning to Italy.
