The musealization project that was being worked on aimed to convert this property into an interpretation center for the figure of the Lagunero saint José de Anchieta, better known as Father Anchieta.

Regarding the work that was being carried out, they involved painting works to unify the entire color of the property, the review of the carpentry and the placement of information plaques inside, thus following the indications made at the time by the Historical Heritage Commission of the Cabildo.
It is worth remembering that the City Council began, at the beginning of 2021, the rehabilitation work on Casa Anchieta, with a budget of 710,000 euros and the expectation of having it completed in about seven months, although technical and logistical difficulties encountered during the works and other Issues have forced the project to be modified, which has lengthened the deadlines. The work on the property has allowed it to be rehabilitated and adapted to accessibility regulations, but without damaging its architectural values.
