Manuel Turizo will shine at the Las Palmas de Gran Canaria Street Carnival

Although the past Carnival of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria celebrated the recognition ofe Festival of International Tourist Interest At the equator of your calendar, 2024 arrives marked by the sign of new times and that is underlined with an exceptional confirmation: the Colombian Manuel Turizoone of the most prominent in the world of reggaeton and urban music, becomes one of the stars of the edition: he will perform at the Street Carnival on Saturday, February 17.

But it also has very significant awards such as the one it won in its beginnings in 2017, the years in which it won the Kids’ Choice Awards in Colombia for its legendary A lady like you or best song at the 40 Music Awards for The bachata.

A precocious star

Manuel Turizo, the Colombian singer and composer who is going to be the star of this year’s Las Palmas Carnival, knew success before he came of age. Born in 2000 and currently 23 years old, he already has a solid musical career behind him that began to emerge in 2017 with the song ‘A Lady like you’composed with his brother Julian and in 2018 it surpassed one billion views on YouTube.

Coming from a family of musicians, he falls within urban music, although in his career he has explored different styles that include bachata and electronica.

Precisely His song ‘La Bachata’, a worldwide hit, has been his greatest achievement to date. and in 2022 it won the award for best Latin song at the Los 40 Music Awards. Famous before releasing his first album, he has released three albums so far: ADN (2019), Dopamina (2021) and 2000 (2023).

In July 2023 he gave several concerts in the Canary Islands. On July 2 she performed at Tenerifewithin the Reggaeton Beach Festival Tenerife; on July 21, at the Gran Canaria Arena; and on July 22 in the Palmero municipality of Step in the 2023 edition of ResisTIME. His performances were described as spectacular.

During his visit to Gran Canariathe former player of the UD Las Palmas, Vitolo, He gave the Turizo brothers an official t-shirt of the yellow teamwhich both exhibited during the performance.

Now he returns, to the delight of all his followers and he does so during the biggest party that can be enjoyed in Gran Canaria, the Las Palmas Carnival.
