The Parade of Their Majesties The Three Wise Men of the East toured on the afternoon of this Friday, January 5, the main streets of La Lagunathus fulfilling a tradition that dates back more than a hundred years in the municipality.
Melchior, Gaspar and Baltasar made their royal entrance from the Rúa road, after their act of adoration of the Child Jesus of the Afflicted, and traveled through the main roads of the city accompanied by their royal processions and other recognizable characters, especially by the most youths.
In the longest-running Parade in the Canary Islands there was no shortage of new floats, musical bands from La Laguna, Disney protagonists, superheroes, inflatable figures, troupes, themed cars or the royal pages carrying their banners and collecting the last letters full of wishes for this magical Night of Kings. Representatives of the security forces that have a presence in La Laguna and that escorted the Three Wise Men throughout the entire journey were also part of the parade.
Once again this year, this event had an inclusive space formed by the Orange Point in Plaza del Adelantado (with sign language interpreters and services for any type of disability) and the noise-free section at the beginning of the Parade, designed for the people with hearing hypersensitivity.
