The Three Wise Men are already in San Cristobal de La Laguna. This morning Their Majesties of the East were received at the doors of the Town Hall by the mayor of the municipality, Luis Yeray Gutiérrezwho has welcomed them and given them the magic keys to the city so that this coming morning they can deliver their gifts and fill the Laguna homes with happiness.

A multitude of boys and girls have come to meet Melchor, Gaspar and Baltasar to share an indelible memory with their family and send them their letters with best wishes for this special night.

Luis Yeray Gutiérrez encouraged citizens to be part of the great Parade this afternoon, in which there will be no shortage of floats, Disney characters, royal pages, musical groups and endless surprises.

For his part, Melchor expressed the joy and emotion that being back in La Laguna means for the three protagonists of the day and shared his wish that peace spread throughout the world, especially among the most vulnerable families and those who are suffering. the consequences of a war.

This afternoon’s Parade will have new floats and more characters

Their Majesties of the East will attend to the little ones in the house in the arches of the Town Hall until 2:30 p.m., when they will go up to sign the Town Hall’s golden book and take a short break. At 3:30 p.m., they will leave for the Plaza del Cristo where, at 4:00 p.m., they will perform the act of adoration of the Child Jesus of the Afflicted.

The highlight of this Three Kings Day will arrive at 5:00 p.m. with the start of the traditional Parade, which will start from the Rúa road and then travel through the streets Nava and Grimón, Consistorio, Herradores (uphill), El Tizón, La Carrera (downhill) and, finally, the return along Via Consistorio to Plaza del Cristo.

This year’s Three Kings Parade will once again be inclusive thanks to the Orange Point in Plaza del Adelantado, which will offer sign language interpreters and assistance for people with any type of disability, and the noise-free section that will be enabled at the beginning of the route for the population suffering from hearing hypersensitivity.
