VALVERDE (EL HIERRO), Jan. 5 (EUROPA PRESS) –
Four boats with 381 migrants on board have arrived in the last few hours to the islands of El Hierro and Gran Canaria, according to data provided by 112 Canarias, Maritime Rescue and the Red Cross.
In the case of El Hierro, a canoe with 175 people was intercepted by Maritime Rescue on Thursday afternoon and escorted to the port of La Restinga and at night two other boats arrived with a total of 98 people.
In none of the cases, after the health care provided by members of the Canary Islands Emergency Service, Primary Care and Red Cross at the foot of the dock, was it necessary to make referrals to health centers.
In the case of Gran Canaria, the canoe had 108 people on board and after disembarking at the Arguineguín dock (Mogán), six of them were taken to a hospital.
