VALVERDE (EL HIERRO), Jan. 5 (EUROPA PRESS) –
A cayuco arrived in the early hours of this Friday to the island of El Hierro, the fourth since Thursday afternoon, with 53 migrants of sub-Saharan origin on board, of which 46 were men, four women and three babies, Europe has been informed. Press Maritime Rescue sources.
The vessel was located through the SIVE of the Civil Guard three miles south of the island and entered port safely accompanied by the Salvamar Adhara.
After the health care provided in the port by members of the Canary Islands Emergency Service, Primary Care and the Red Cross, it was found that they were in an apparently good state of health and no transfers were made to health centers.
Since Thursday afternoon, a total of 325 migrants have arrived in El Hierro, joined by another 108 who arrived at the port of Arguineguín, in Gran Canaria.
