Emilio Luque Avenue, in the La Milagrosa school area, in La Orotava, was, once again, the place chosen to make and consume the largest roscón de Reyes in Tenerife. This year, in addition, the largest roscón de Reyes in Tenerife has had charitable purposes.
Since before 5:00 p.m., despite the cold, numerous people gathered at the place, where preparations were carried out. About 500 pieces of roscón, which when joined in a linear fashion would reach almost 500 meters in length, were sold in exchange for the will, with the proceeds going to Cáritas and the Red Cross.
Surprises and gifts donated by businesses in La Orotava were placed in the portions.
The initiative is organized by the Commerce area of the La Orotava City Council and is another attraction for residents and visitors, in addition to helping to boost commercial activity.
