SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Jan. 4 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Cabildo of Tenerife, through the Highways area, has completed the improvement and rehabilitation works on the TF-653 that connects Guargacho and Palm-Mar.
In addition to improving the pavement, it is planned to widen the shoulders and install metal safety barriers, especially necessary to prevent accidents with detours towards significant slopes.
The Minister of Highways, Dámaso Arteaga, highlights the importance of the work to condition the road surface since these are interventions “long awaited by users” and they show “the commitment and important effort on the part of of the Cabildo of Tenerife for the improvement of these roads, which in some cases had been tired for quite some time.
In addition, Arteaga reported that the works on the roads located in the same area, such as TF-652 and TF-662, are progressing at a good pace.
In the case of the TF-653, the works involve an investment of approximately 982,000 euros, while the work on the TF-652 has an allocation of 1.4 million euros and 1.3 million euros in the case of the works on the TF-662.
These roads support a high level of traffic on a daily basis, which is why it is necessary to rehabilitate and pave the surface of the platforms in addition to improving the drainage elements of the roads, according to a note from the Cabildo.
