VALVERDE (EL HIERRO), Jan. 3 (EUROPA PRESS) –
A cayuco with 110 migrants of sub-Saharan origin on board arrived this Wednesday at the port of La Restinga, in the municipality of El Pinar (El Hierro), accompanied by the Guadarmar Concepción Arenal, Maritime Rescue sources report.
The boat was detected five miles south of La Restinga by the Civil Guard’s SIVE radar.
This is the second canoe that arrived in the Canary Islands this Wednesday after another one with 60 people was located at the stroke of midnight in waters south of La Gomera and whose occupants disembarked at the Playa Santiago dock, in the municipality of Alajeró.
