He Council increases by 631,671 euros the contribution to the agreement with the Candelaria City Council for the execution of the Barranco Hondo social health center, after both administrations have formalized the modification of the agreement.
The Minister of Social Action, Águeda Fumero; The mayor of the municipality, Mari Brito, and the Councilor for Social Services, Olivia Pérez, recently visited the place where this center will be built, “which will be a reality thanks to the collaboration and joint work of the Cabildo and the Candelaria City Council and the signature of the addendum with the Government of the Canary Islands».
The increase in the budget of this project responds to a price update, as well as the inclusion of new services, such as medicinal gases, which improve the original initiative, and will involve a total investment of 5,606,948 euros. The future social health center of Barranco Hondo will have 42 new residential places and 20 day center places.
The Minister of Social Action, Águeda Fumero, assured that, “for us, this is a very important step in fulfilling our commitment to provide more social and health care places on the island of Tenerifeattending to the demands of society”, to which he added that “to achieve this objective, the role of the city councils is also fundamental, with whom we intend to establish a line of work based on dialogue.”
For her part, the mayor of Candelaria, Mari Brito, assured in relation to this project that “continuing to advance to build the socio-health center in Barranco Hondo fills us with joy because we have been betting on this very necessary service for many years.”
