Agents from the Civil Traffic Guard in Tenerife are investigating a person for allegedly hitting a pedestrian who was outside the traffic lane, as reported this Wednesday in a note.
The events occurred near kilometer 6 of the TF-152 highway that runs from La Laguna to El Sauzal and apparently the pedestrian was outside the traffic lane, on the right side of the road when a vehicle caused him serious injuries and he abandoned the vehicle. the place.
After the investigations carried out, the Civil Guard located the vehicle and subsequently its driver, who is being investigated for an alleged crime of leaving the scene of the accident and causing serious injuries to the pedestrian.
A police report was prepared regarding the facts investigated, which, together with the evidence, was delivered to the Investigative Court in charge of the Judicial District Guard of San Cristóbal de la Laguna.
The Civil Guard has recalled that according to the Penal Code, the crimes of abandoning the scene of the accident and injuring the pedestrian are punishable by a prison sentence of six months to four years and deprivation of the right to drive motor vehicles and mopeds of one to four years.
