SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Jan. 2 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Tenerife Cabildo has approved the tender for the contract to improve the horizontal signaling of the Tenerife road network for an amount of 1,038,156.91 euros, which is distributed in two annual installments with an amount of 443,779.01 euros for 2024. and 594,377.90 euros by 2025.
Regarding the execution period, a period of 11 months is contemplated, according to a note from the island corporation.
The Minister of Highways, Dámaso Arteaga, explains that this is an action that includes repainting works on the horizontal signage of a series of roads in the island road network in which it has been detected that “intervention is necessary because many have exhausted their useful life, with the aim of providing the roads with greater safety conditions for users.
This project will involve intervention in almost 600,000 linear meters of road marking and 10,000 square meters of symbols and road striping to improve the safety of Tenerife’s roads.
The approval of the tender for the road signage improvement contract was approved by the Government Council held on December 27 in addition to the opening of the award procedure for the execution of the works contemplated in the project.
