The president of Fepeco, Oscar Izquierdo, celebrated the steps that are being taken in terms of roads. The representative of the builders is “certain that finally the road works that Tenerife demand, socially, territorially and economically, can be a reality in the medium term, due to the intense work, which is known to be being done, jointly, by both the Government of the Canary Islands as of Tenerife Councilalso unblocking the difficulties encountered in making the construction and operation of the roads feasible.
Izquierdo highlights that they are “working in coordination so that the execution of the works moves forward in time as much as possible, providing professional suggestions, as well as decisive and possible proposals.” And he continued: «We are clear that it is not about filling the Island with cement and asphalt, as is maliciously said by the deniers of no to everything, but about undertaking the implementation of those basic and structural roads that make it possible to territorially unify the island. And he adds: “The Department of Public Works is aware of the efforts we have to make to meet the challenges and objectives that Tenerife society demands.”
