He PSOE of Tenerife announced this Friday that they will request a extraordinary full in the island council for the president of the corporation, Rosa Dávila, to give explanations about the “irregularities” that in the opinion of the PSOE were committed during the climb to Teide influencer known as TheGrefg.

In a press conference, the PSOE pointed out that on the day the increase occurred, The cable car was closed for meteorological reasons, although in a video it looks like the influencerwhich refers to the insular director of Environment of the Cabildo de Tenerife, Pedro Millán, “as a boss” and to whom he thanks him for having opened the cable car while it was closed to bring him a permit in hand to climb to the peak.

“The amazing thing is that these days we have waited for a public explanation to be produced or for what appeared on social networks to be denied. It is surprising that a president who is constantly in the media has not had time to explain this matter,” said the president of the Socialist group in the Cabildo, and former island president, Pedro Martín.

Thus, the PSOE believes it is appropriate to ask for explanations “both for the necessary protection of Teide and for the public image of the Cabildo de Tenerife.”

In this sense, Pedro Martín has expressed surprise that no one has resigned nor has any action been taken.

“When it is said that a political official is a ‘boss’ who can solve any issue for you, such as not having authorization to use a cable car, this is reason for explanation. In Tenerife things are not done irregularly,” Martín explained.

The socialist spokesperson in the Cabildo, Aarón Afonso, recalled that the events have been reported by 14 environmental groups and has insisted that the situation seems “inexplicable” to them, while regretting that not even the Minister of the Natural Environment, Sustainability and Security and Emergencies, Blanca Pérez, and the insular director of the Natural Environment, Pedro Millán, have not given explanations.

The PSOE has indicated that there are two issues that are “concerning”, such as that “arbitrarily” permits are granted to access trail 10 to people without following the procedure.

“Through the videos that have been released, it is clear that this authorization did not exist and that it is granted automatically with the climb through the Cable Car of the insular director of the Natural Environment, which was also closed due to meteorological risks of strong winds,” he added. Afonso.

He added that one should ask about the “particular use” that the island director makes to, in turn, facilitate access to the YouTuber.
