SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, December 29. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Official Gazette of the Canary Islands (BOC) has published today, Friday, December 29, the call for 119 positions for teaching and research staff at the University of La Laguna. Specifically, there are 100 Doctor Assistant Professor positions and 19 Associate Professor positions.
The teaching staff will be selected through the procedure published in the calls, based on the criteria of merit, capacity and equal opportunities. Among the specific requirements to participate in the call for Doctoral Teaching Assistants is being in possession of a doctorate degree and having obtained a positive evaluation from the National Agency for Quality Assessment and Accreditation (ANECA) or the Canary Islands Agency for University Quality and Educational Evaluation (ACCUEE). For their part, associate teaching positions are aimed at specialists of recognized competence and who can prove that they have carried out paid professional activity outside the academic and university research field, with at least two years of seniority.
The deadline for submitting applications for these two calls is 20 business days, beginning next January 9, 2024, this being the first business day, and ending on February 6, 2024. Applications must be submitted electronically through of the Electronic Headquarters of the university institution and the information is published on the internet portal in the ‘PDI’ section. Likewise, it is planned to hold an informative webinar aimed at people interested in participating in both calls, during the first business days of them.
In the same bulletin, the call for 2 positions for Type 1 Doctoral Contracted Teaching Staff is also published. In this case, the deadline for submitting applications is fifteen calendar days starting on December 30, 2023 and ending on January 22, 20024 and Among the specific requirements is being in possession of a doctorate degree and having the curricular activity positively evaluated by the ANECA or the ACCUEE.
This offer, negotiated with the union representation within the Provision and Planning of PPP 2023 Places, is the largest amount made in a single call for doctoral assistant professors, key to facing the rejuvenation of the teaching and research staff and for effective compliance of the provisions of the new Organic Law of the University System (LOSU). This process will have to continue during 2024, once adequate financing is available from the Central and Regional administrations.
