The Primary Care Management of Tenerife, attached to the Ministry of Healthreopened on Thursday afternoon Trinidad Avenue Health Centerwhich resumed all its assistance activity once the technical services reported that the safety conditions were met.
The center was closed preventively when problems were detected on Wednesday in a part of the building’s floor. After the visit carried out during the morning by the technicians of the Infrastructure service of the Canarian Health Service (SCS), it was determined that there is no danger from a technical point of view in the affected area, as reported by the Ministry in a note.
The technical services conclude that the center can be reopened in safe conditions for use, recovering activity except in the four consultation rooms located on the first floor, in the affected area.
The staff of these consultations will be relocated to another area of the property to continue caring for patients, while the actions to be carried out in that area are determined.
In this way, the center resumes its non-urgent care activity, which had to be rescheduled due to the closure of the building. This measure was adopted preventively until the corresponding technical reports were available to guarantee that the safety conditions were met to be able to continue with the activity in the property.
The non-delayable and urgent care activity that was scheduled for today was transferred to the Basic Health Zones of La Laguna-San Benito and La Laguna-Mercedes, centers that had reinforcements from the staff of the Laguna-Universidad health center.
Delayable consultations were rescheduled, giving patients notice of the change in agenda, while telephone consultation, laboratory and basic healthcare services were maintained. Likewise, the Emergency activity was coordinated with the Canary Emergency Service to refer them to health centers in the area.
