SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, December 27 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Governing Council has agreed, in its session today, Wednesday, to authorize an increase in spending of 8,187,349.49 euros in order to continue the appointment of technical employment personnel for the execution of the temporary program called ‘Plan of Shock for Youth Employment’, corresponding to the period 2019-2021.
Among the objectives of the Plan are to increase qualification and job insertion by providing young people with more professional skills, promote a new economic model based on productivity and added value or provide public employment services with the means and resources to provide adequate and individualized attention.
Among the measures to achieve professional guidance and personalized attention is the ‘Orientajoven Program’, equipped throughout the State with a network of 3,000 technical people responsible for guidance.
The Ministry of Tourism and Employment considers that vocational guidance, as a prior step to job placement, must achieve personalized attention based on the detection of the needs of the young person and related to the rest of the active policies, especially with of professional qualification.
To this end, this program makes a firm commitment to the creation of a network of 158 interim officials in the Canary Islands, 128 in Gran Canaria and 30 in the rest of the islands, as technicians responsible for orientation within the framework of the Public Employment Services. , which also includes prospecting tasks and obtaining offers.
