The Provincial Federation of Construction Entities of Santa Cruz de Tenerife (Fepeco) communicate your support to Cabildo de Tenerife in the development of the Island Plan for Sustainable Mobility. Óscar Izquierdo valued the meeting and highlighted that “we have been given the certainty that in Tenerife the road works that the Island demands, the productive system needs and, above all, that the citizens are demanding of us all, will be carried out. not only to politicians, but to all social agents.
The president of Fepeco also explained that “we have proposed full support from the sector of construction and our employers to the Insular Mobility Plan because we believe that it is a very important, very complete and very fruitful document. In that line, Izquierdo emphasized that“We invite the opposition in the Cabildo” to consensus, “that we achieve that the unity to solve the structuring of the island of Tenerife is, let’s say, universal not only of politicians, but also of all social agents.”
After the meeting, the president of the Cabildo, Rosa Dávila, thanked the support shown by the construction sector of the Island. In this regard, he highlighted that it represents “a strategic ally” of the Island Administration when it comes to facing the great challenges of this Island, “which involve the promotion of the “transport infrastructure, roads, ports and airports that are planned for investments on the Island.” The president made it clear that “for that we need the employers and the construction companies to be strong, prepared to absorb the significant volume of investment that is going to come to Tenerife. He also stressed “the total harmony with the construction employers to carry out active policies for the construction of public housing.”
The Tenerife Sustainable Mobility Plan foresees 23 major actions to improve roads and build trains and new light rail.
