SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, December 27 (EUROPA PRESS) –
Today, Wednesday, the Government of the Canary Islands approved the draft decree approving the organic regulations of the Ministry of Social Welfare, Equality, Youth, Children and Families. In addition, it has agreed to report to the Parliament of the Canary Islands on the functional organization and departmental organic structure derived from the approval of said regulation.
Through this draft decree, the organic structure is updated, adapted to the new Government and the deconcentration of functions that is carried out in the different higher bodies of the department, as well as the establishment of its collegiate bodies assigned from the change of name and the determination of the functional scope of this Ministry given by Decree 41/2023, of July 14.
In this way, the Ministry of Social Welfare, Equality, Youth, Children and Families, under the direction of its head, is structured around the vice-ministers of Social Welfare, as well as Equality and Diversity. Added to this is the General Technical Secretariat and the general directorates of Social Services and Immigration; Dependency, Protection of Children and Families; of Elders and Active Participation; of Diversity; of Youth and Disability.
