SAN SEBASTIÁN DE LA GOMERA, December 24 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Cabildo of La Gomera reports this Sunday that the fire outbreak declared on Saturday afternoon in the El Revolcadero environmental complex is considered controlled.
The fire, which originated at 4:00 p.m., started in the discharge cell of these facilities, affecting 900 square meters of waste located in the upper part of the cell.
In the control and extinction operation, members of the Environment Unit of the Cabildo, Tragsa, Gesplan, Volunteer Firefighters of Valle Gran Rey, Canarian Health Service, Civil Protection and Anaga Emergency Aid are acting.
In addition, the multifunctional helicopter based on the island has been activated, due to the characteristics of the area, and the basic life support ambulance, according to a note from the island corporation.
