A man, in critical condition after being recovered from cardiorespiratory arrest in Los Realejos



A man is in critical condition after being recovered from cardiorespiratory arrest in the middle of the street in the municipality of Los Realejos.

The events occurred after 1:15 p.m. when the Emergency and Security Coordinating Center (CECOES) 1-1-2 of the Government of the Canary Islands received an alert in which it was reported that a person had fainted on the La Zamora highway and He needed health care.

A SUC nurse present in the operating room, after conducting the corresponding interrogation of the alerters, verified that the man was in cardiorespiratory arrest and gave instructions through telecare so that resuscitation maneuvers could begin.

Local Police agents also practiced resuscitation maneuvers, also applying a Semi-Automatic Defibrillator (DESA) and subsequently, SUC personnel verified that the affected person remained in cardiorespiratory arrest and they performed advanced cardiopulmonary resuscitation maneuvers, managing to recover his pulse.

Once stabilized, the man was transferred in critical condition by medical ambulance to Hospiten Bellevue.
