The La Laguna City Council, through the Department of Commerce and Local Development, will launch tomorrow the second edition of the Christmas Crafts Exhibition in the Plaza del Adelantado. The exhibition, which will be open until this coming Saturday, will offer the works of around twenty professionals in the sector.
The mayor of La Laguna, Luis Yeray Gutiérrez, argued that “this action will contribute to the dissemination of the different traditional crafts, which contribute so much to our cultural and heritage legacy.”
He also encouraged citizens to participate in this experience and make some Christmas purchases “that serve as an economic boost for so many families who still dedicate their talent and effort to this type of creations.”
For her part, the Councilor for Commerce, Leticia Villegas, explained that the visiting hours of the three days of activity will be from 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. and added that throughout the exhibition you will be able to admire interesting works of chandlery, toys, jewelry. , fashion, wood turning, traditional pottery, modeling, macramé, soap making, leather goods, openwork, etc.
Likewise, the councilor highlighted that, as in previous exhibitions held in the municipality, priority has been given to artisans who carry out their work in La Laguna in the bases for admission of applications. In this way, we contribute to the promotion and revitalization of the local product.
