Brilliant performance by the Amistad Theater Group

Last Saturday, the 16th of this year, the representation of the anonymous work of the 13th century Auto de los Reyes Magos by the Group of Theater Friendship of the Círculo de Amistad XII de Enero, in collaboration with the event organized by the aforementioned parish on the occasion of the commemoration of the 800 years of the creation of the first Nativity scene by Saint Francis of Assisi. The performance of the acting cast was superb under the direction of Gerardo Fuentes, who has an immense ability to harmonize his strict, flexible and casual direction in unison, without forgetting his acting skills, as he also demonstrated yesterday, while adapting the Ancestral piece, with the skill that characterizes him, was commissioned by Adrián Rangil. But this project would not have been possible without the participation of several other people: the parish priest of this temple dedicated to the Seraphic Saint, Miguel Ángel Navarro, who generously contributed his considerable organizational and historical knowledge about liturgical events, which was followed by the intervention of the Jesús Rodrigues Group, a businessman with enormous skill in terms of sets and props, in addition, we must highlight Inmaculada Rodrigues, an excellent young designer, who has already won a national award for her good work, for her essential participation in the costumes. do that could be appreciated yesterday, without ignoring the hair and makeup of María Jesús Rodrigues, and the musical adaptation and sound space of Begoña Rodrigues. Likewise, the Hon. The capital City Council also provided the attire of their Majesties of the East, complementing everything said with the extraordinary musical performance of the Nobis Vocal Ensemble Choir, guided by Roxana Schmunk with great mastery. However, returning to the theatrical ensemble, provided with a technological display that allowed us to hear their voices with complete clarity, it was brilliant, so much so that it left us speechless to be able to express the emotion it caused us, especially if we take into account that it is about amateur actors and actresses with a great desire to improve, as last night’s magnificent performance made it evident. The different acting scenes ran throughout the ecclesiastical premises, completely filled with parishioners, members of our entity and the general public, allow me the expression “in which there was no room for a single soul”, all expectant in the most absolute of silences, attended by our President of the Círculo de Amistad XII de Enero, Francisco Perera, who with his unconditional and persevering support for culture facilitated the El Recreo theater group to perform in the aforementioned temple, and, how no, in response to the kind invitation of the Parish Priest; Also attending, on the one hand, were the Vice President Marta P. Coello, the Vice Secretary and the Vice Treasurer, some other member of the Board of Directors of the Society, etc…, an appointment that was also attended by the President of the Friends of July 25 Gathering. ; On the other hand, the Parish Priest of the Church of the Conception of this city and the Superior of the Franciscan Congregation of the Third Order also supported the event.
