SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, December 18 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Meliá hotel chain is finishing the works to open, before the end of this year 2023, the Innside by Meliá hotel, located on El Pilar street, number 3, one of the main arteries of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, a place where formerly The Galerias Preciados and El Corte Inglés surface was located.
It is a nine-story building that has 83 rooms, a small gym, an infinity pool with views of the entire city and three spaces for eating.
On a visit to the building that houses this hotel, the mayor of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, José Manuel Bermúdez, commented that it is “good news that the city will have more hotel beds so that those who visit us can enjoy the spaces.” most emblematic of the capital”.
Along with the mayor, the Councilor for Public Services, Carlos Tarife, and the CEO of the Development Society, Carmen Pérez, also attended the visit.
Carlos Tarife recognized “the effort made by everyone to make this project almost a reality, since it was located in a building in which there had been no activity for many years,” and assured that this space “will help give more life to the city and will contribute to its economic development”.
For her part, Carmen Pérez congratulated the work team led by architect Juan Carlos Piñeiro Izquierdo and pointed out that Santa Cruz “is in luck for being able to have another space that will attract more people and that, without a doubt, will contribute to boost leisure in the capital”.
The director of this new hotel, Victoria Palau, explained that the building will house restaurant options. Specifically, there will be one at street level, with modern and creative Latin American fusion cuisine, a space with snacks and cocktails on the terrace, and an area, on the ground floor, where there will also be live jazz music.
