SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, December 18 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Government of the Canary Islands, through the General Directorate of Emergencies, has ended the wind alert situation in El Hierro, La Gomera and Tenerife starting at 12:00 p.m. today, Monday, December 18.
This decision is made taking into account the information provided by the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) and other available sources, and in application of the Specific Emergency Plan of the Canary Islands for Risks of Adverse Meteorological Phenomena (PEFMA).
Specifically, the end of the alert affects the islands of El Hierro, La Gomera and the municipalities of Puerto de la Cruz, La Orotava, Santa Úrsula, La Victoria, La Matanza, El Sauzal, Tacoronte, Tegueste, La Laguna, Santa Cruz and El Rosario on the island of Tenerife.
Likewise, the pre-alert situation is ended in the rest of the islands and the rest of the municipalities of Tenerife and the alert situation in El Hierro is updated, moving to a pre-alert situation.
