Emergency services have rescued in the last hours by helicopter to two hikers in trouble in La Gomera and Tenerife.
Sources from 1-1-2 detail that this Saturday a 56-year-old German hiker who was disoriented in the Guarimiar ravine, in Alajeró, was rescued.
Due to the complexity of the terrain, a helicopter from the Emergency and Rescue Group (GES) of the Government of the Canary Islands had to be mobilized to access the point where this man was, which transported him, unharmed, to its base.
The GES acted again this Sunday, mobilizing a helicopter to the Teide National Park, where it picked up a 74-year-old man who was in general discomfort and transported him to the La Guancha helipad.
Staff from the Canary Islands Emergency Service were waiting for him there, and they evacuated him by ambulance to a hospital.
