The entire second musical block will be dedicated to paying tribute to Elfidio Alonso, one of the iconic personalities of Los Sabandeños, a group that has become one of the best ambassadors of our folklore and culture internationally. As a tribute to its founder, Los Sabandeños, together with the OST, will perform, among others, the pieces Call me Guanche (orq. Peter Hope), The moray eel fisherman (orq. Emilio Coello), Unicorn (P. Hope), Alma Llanera (orq. Rafael Osuna) and That afternoon (orc. by Peter Hope).
For the honorary director of the OST, Víctor Pablo Pérez, it is “the concert of concerts that everyone expects,” to which he added “this year is destined to be the most popular of all since it is a tribute to the film music and is set for all ages.”
And this concert “stands out for having different objectives, such as collaboration between entities, the dissemination of culture, allowing symphonic music to reach more and more people and the important tribute to Elfidio Alonso” as stated by José Carlos Acha .
