The mayor, Mari Brito, indicates in a statement that “in a moment as emblematic as the arrival of the Three Wise Men, we want to guarantee that all the families of Candelaria can celebrate these holidays with the joy and enthusiasm they deserve, regardless of the circumstances.” ”.
Families may request this aid until December 18. An appointment with the reference social worker is required.
The councilor for the Social Services area, Olivia Pérez, has highlighted the City Council’s commitment to providing this help “in an efficient and accessible manner” for families who need it.
The delivery system will be carried out through purchase vouchers, allowing families to purchase toys, sports equipment and even textiles at collaborating stores.
The process is carried out using vouchers of 50 euros for each boy or girl, thus facilitating the acquisition of specific products for each purpose granted in the service.
The participating businesses have agreed to accept these vouchers, in addition to providing the necessary information to verify the exchange correctly.
Those individuals or family units that lack sufficient financial means may benefit from this aid, in accordance with the criteria established in the protocol for the granting of economic benefits from Social Services of the Candelaria City Council.
