SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, December 13. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Cabildo of Tenerife, through the Territorial Planning and Historical Heritage Area, has awarded the works for the Finca Escuder park project, located in the Taco neighborhood, in the municipality of La Laguna. The staking act, a mandatory step to be able to start the works, was signed this Wednesday.
The island director of Historical Heritage, Isabel de Esteban, explained that the work has a budget of 1.2 million euros and has been awarded to the company Ecocivil Electromur GE, with a period of seven months. Among the planned actions is the creation of two types of routes for runners, on asphalt and on compacted earth.
For his part, the mayor of La Laguna, Luis Yeray Gutiérrez, celebrated “the beginning of some works that have been long demanded by the residents of Taco and that will be a stimulus for the neighborhood.” “With this action, La Laguna will gain a large venue for sports and recreation, a green space that responds to criteria of sustainability and healthy living. The recovery of Finca Escuder is a good example that collaboration between administrations is essential to the time to carry out large projects that improve the quality of life of citizens,” he added.
In total, 540 linear meters are planned for asphalt roads and 360 for dirt roads, according to a note from the island corporation. Among other features, a calisthenics circuit and training equipment will be installed, as well as a covered bio-healthy furniture area, with equipment for physical exercise.
In addition, the park will have public lighting both inside and on the surrounding streets, a metal fence will be made to delimit the entire plot and the space will be enriched with green zones and shaded areas, an irrigation system and street furniture, among other services. .
